Ang pag-aaral na ito ay nagtangkang magmungkahi ng isang sanayang pansariling material para sa ikaapat na baitang bilang pandagdag na instruksyunal material sa batayang-aklat, Pilipinas: Heograpiya, Kasaysayan at Sibika. Ang ginamit ng pag-aaral ay isang palarawang pangkalinangang desinyo. Ang mga kasangkot sap ag-aaral ay may kabuuang bilang na labinlimang (15) mga guro sa ikaapat na baiting na kasalukuang nagtuturo ng HEKASI. Sila ay kumakatawan ng isang daang bahagdan (100%) ng mga kalahok. Ang mga nalikopm na datos at impormasyon ay nagpakita na nag preperensya at interes ng mga kalahok ay higit sa pagbuo ng isang “Sanayang Pnasarili” na may dalas ng kasagutan na 9 o 60 bahagdan mula sa labinlimang kalahok. Ang pinakamaliit na dahon ng kasagutan ay ang “kaugnay na Babasahin” na may dalas ng kasagutan na isa o pitong bahagdan. May pangangailangan na mabigyan ng atensyon ang kakulangan ng mga instruksyunal material na ginagamit ng mga guro sa pagtuturo ng HEKASI. Kahit ang mga guro ay may sapat na kwalipikasyong edukasyunal kung digri rin lamang ang pag-uusapan kailangan-kailangang pa rin nila ang mga salugurang pagsasanay o iba pang mga gawaing naguugnay sa pagsasakita ng kanilang propesyon. Ang preperensya ng mga kalahok ay magkaroon ng isang sanayang pansarili na maktutulong sa pagtutuo at pagpapakahulugan sa mga layuning nangangailangan ng panlunas at pagpapasidhi ng mga aralin sa mataas-taas na antas ng pag-iisip.
